Stockton, a World War II veteran who served as an aerial gunner.
Attending Rabun County High School, Stockton excelled in both baseball and football. As a freshman quarterback, he led his team to a region championship and a state playoff quarterfinals appearance, throwing for 2,917 yards and 34 touchdowns, and rushing for 709 yards and 17 touchdowns. His sophomore year saw even greater achievements with 3,472 passing yards, 43 passing touchdowns, 1,179 rushing yards, and 16 rushing touchdowns. College Career
Stockton enrolled early at the University of Georgia in January 2022. After redshirting his freshman year, he competed for the starting quarterback position in 2023, ultimately serving as the third-string quarterback. He made his collegiate debut against UT Martin, completing three of five passes for 29 yards. In the 2024 season, Stockton was listed as the backup quarterback. During the SEC Championship Game, he replaced an injured Carson Beck at halftime, leading the Bulldogs to a 22–19 overtime victory. In his first career start at the 2025 Sugar Bowl against Notre Dame, he threw for 234 yards and a touchdown in a 23–10 loss.
