BACK IN IT!! Happy to bounce back from last weekends performance. Went down in the heat race, fought back in the LCQ making our 11th main event of the year. Main event was lack luster, didn’t ride in between races for the past two weeks and haven’t fully shaken the bug from this past weekend, straight up just petered out. Stoked to stack some more points but we have more in the tank Proud of my crew this weekend, without them being there week in and week out this wouldn’t be…..Read more
Man, what a weekend. After last week’s performance, it felt incredible to bounce back and show what we’re made of. The day didn’t start exactly how we wanted — went down hard in the heat race and had to regroup fast. Moments like that test you, no doubt about it. You can either crumble or fight back, and I’m proud of the fight we put up. Came out swinging in the LCQ, left it all out there, and we locked ourselves into our 11th main event of the season. No better feeling than earning that gate drop after a day of battling.
The LCQ was pure chaos, like it always is — elbows up, heart pounding, everything on the line. After hitting the dirt earlier, my body wasn’t 100%, but I knew we had to dig deep. That’s what racing is all about. It’s not always about feeling perfect or having things go your way. Sometimes it’s about grit, about figuring it out even when the cards are stacked against you. Crossing that finish line and seeing we made it in — man, it just made all the hard work and grind feel worth it.
The main event itself didn’t go how I pictured it. Straight up, it was lackluster. I haven’t ridden in between rounds for a couple of weeks because I’ve been trying to shake this bug that’s been hanging around. You don’t realize how much not riding and not feeling 100% affects you until you’re mid-race and the tank hits empty earlier than it should. I pushed as hard as I could for as long as I could, but the body just wasn’t there this time. It’s frustrating because I know we have so much more to give. We’re better than what we showed in the main, but that’s racing. You take the good with the bad, learn, and move forward.
Even though the main didn’t go how I wanted, I’m still stoked to stack some more points and keep building. Every race is another step forward, another opportunity to improve. If it was easy, everyone would do it. It’s the grind, the setbacks, and the comebacks that make the highs so much sweeter. We’ve built a solid season so far, and this weekend was another reminder that we’re right there. Just need to keep at it, keep getting stronger, and keep trusting the process. Big things are still ahead.
None of this would be possible without my crew. I’m seriously so proud of the people around me. Week in and week out, through the ups and downs, they’re there — grinding right alongside me, believing in me even when I’m frustrated or not at my best. From bike setup to just being there to pick me up after a tough race, they’re the real MVPs. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: this is a team effort. Every time I line up, it’s not just me out there. It’s all of us. I’m beyond grateful to have that kind of support in my corner.
We’re not done yet. Fired up to get back to work this week, get healthy, get back to riding during the week, and come out swinging next round. The goals we set at the start of the season are still in front of us, and I know we have even more in the tank. Appreciate everyone who’s been following the journey — all the support means more than you know. Let’s keep this thing rolling. See you at the next one!
