As the Denver Broncos prepare for the upcoming 2025 NFL season, the team has been active in free agency, roster adjustments, and draft preparations.
Free Agency Acquisitions
On March 13, 2025, the Broncos signed tight end Evan Engram to a two-year, $23 million contract. Engram, previously with the Jacksonville Jaguars, chose Denver over the Los Angeles Chargers. He will wear jersey number 1, becoming the first tight end to do so since the NFL’s numbering rule revisions in 2021.
To bolster quarterback depth, Denver signed Sam Ehlinger on April 2, 2025. Ehlinger, 26, was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in 2021 and has appeared in eight games, starting three. He joins Bo Nix and Jarrett Stidham in the quarterback room.
Draft Preparations
With the 2025 NFL Draft approaching, the Broncos are evaluating prospects to address team needs. They hold the 20th overall pick in the first round.
The team hosted Bowling Green tight end Harold Fannin Jr. for a top-30 pre-draft visit. Fannin, 20, had an impressive collegiate career with 117 receptions, 1,555 yards, and 10 touchdowns in his final season. Analysts project him as a third- to fourth-round pick.
An interest tracker has compiled reported meetings, interviews, and workouts conducted by the Broncos throughout major scouting events, providing insights into the team’s draft strategy and priorities.
Roster Updates
Center Nick Gargiulo, drafted in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft, spent the previous season on the practice squad. He signed a reserve/future contract on January 13, 2025, aiming to secure a spot on the active roster.
Looking Ahead
The Broncos’ opponents for the 2025 season have been finalized. In addition to their regular AFC West matchups, they will host the Cincinnati Bengals, Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Dallas Cowboys, and New York Giants. They will travel to face the New York Jets, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles, and Washington Commanders. The official schedule release is anticipated later this year.
As the Broncos continue their offseason activities, fans eagerly await further developments and the official schedule release.
