Ken Roczen, the renowned German motocross rider, has reaffirmed his commitment to the Progressive Insurance ECSTAR Suzuki team by re-signing for the 2025 SuperMotocross World Championship season. This marks Roczen’s third consecutive year with the team, where he will continue to compete aboard the Suzuki RM-Z450.
Reflecting on his renewed partnership, Roczen expressed enthusiasm: “I am very excited to continue my relationship with Suzuki and the team. We have had a pretty successful last couple of years and we are eager to continue chasing our dreams of wins and podiums.”
Chris Wheeler, Motorsports Manager at Suzuki Motor USA, highlighted the significance of Roczen’s decision: “We’re very proud to have Ken Roczen once again choose Suzuki and H.E.P. Motorsports for his championship quest. Ken’s talent, dedication, and presence continues to elevate everyone in the program, and provides a unified confidence as we strive for success together.”
Dustin Pipes, Team Principal at H.E.P. Motorsports, added: “Very happy to have Ken back for another year with the team. He is the ultimate professional on-and-off the racetrack. As the country’s leading motorcycle insurer, we share the same passion, enthusiasm and commitment to the sport that Ken does and are looking forward to seeing what he does in the season ahead.”
Roczen’s journey with Suzuki has been marked by notable achievements. In the 2024 Supercross season, he clinched victory in Glendale, Arizona, and secured six podium finishes out of the 14 races he entered. However, his season faced an abrupt challenge when he sustained injuries during the Nashville round, leading to his withdrawal from the remainder of the 2024 Supercross season. Medical evaluations revealed fractures to his left leg and foot, but fortunately, no surgery was required.
Despite these setbacks, Roczen made a remarkable comeback. At the 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season opener in Anaheim, he delivered a stellar performance, securing a second-place finish in the main event after dominating his heat race. This strong start underscores his resilience and determination to remain at the forefront of the sport.
As the 2025 season progresses, Roczen and the Progressive Insurance ECSTAR Suzuki team are poised to build upon their past successes. With a shared commitment to excellence and a focus on achieving podium finishes, fans eagerly anticipate the thrilling performances that lie ahead.
The first gate drop of the season is set for January 11th in Anaheim, marking the beginning of what promises to be an exhilarating year for Roczen and the Suzuki team.
