The talented freshman running back has been named one of the three finalists for the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award, presented by the Alabama Sports Writers Association.
The Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award is given annually to the top freshman player in the state of Alabama. Williams, a native of Huntsville, AL, has had an outstanding season for the Crimson Tide, rushing for 944 yards and 10 touchdowns. His impressive performance has helped lead Alabama to a 9-2 record and a spot in the upcoming SEC Championship game.
Williams’ impressive stats and accolades are not limited to his rushing totals. He has also caught 24 passes for 234 yards and one touchdown, making him a versatile threat on the field. His exceptional play has earned him recognition from both his coaches and teammates, who have praised his dedication and work ethic.
