NFL NEWS;’ NFL insider claims Browns have an opportunity to capitalize on a significant favour from the NFL….
The Cleveland Browns will have a difficult schedule in 2024, there is no denying it.
The good news is that good teams find a way to overcome those obstacles, and Cleveland feels they do.
With what could be Cleveland’s most skilled roster in recent memory, there will be expectations following their playoff appearance last year. Fortunately for the Browns, one aspect of the schedule sticks out as beneficial.
Week 3 vs. New York Giants.
After traveling to Jacksonville in Week 2, the Browns welcome the Giants back home. Cleveland will be the clear favorite in this one, and they should have no trouble competing with a squad like New York.
The Giants have parts but are a long way from being a decent team. Daniel Jones is still their quarterback, but they lost Saquon Barkley. Drafting Malik Nabers was intriguing, and he should be a great asset to them whenever he gets going.
Cleveland must win this game and maintain their dominance over weaker opponents. The Giants fell into that category.
Week 4 at Las Vegas Raiders.
Cleveland will go to Las Vegas for the first time to face a Raiders squad that they haven’t been able to defeat in recent seasons. Cleveland should be able to win this game against Las Vegas, which does not currently have a franchise quarterback on its roster.
Whether it’s Aidan O’Connell or Gardner Minshew, the Browns defense should be able to cause chaos and prevent an onslaught from the Raiders offensive.
Week 5 at Washington Commanders.
Cleveland travels to Washington to face an improved Commanders squad, led by rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. Anytime a rookie quarterback faces Myles Garrett, I’m optimistic about the Browns’ chances.
The Browns must complete this first five-game stretch strong and get off to a solid start in 2024. Cleveland’s schedule becomes more difficult later in the season, and picking up wins over opponents they should beat will be critical.
