IMPORTANT NEWS;’ Giants general manager Joseph Schoen released two crucial statements on the celebration of the 100th season….
The New York Giants have released a new anniversary patch that will be worn on their jerseys in honor of their 2024 100-season celebration.
Giants co-owner John Mara remarked, “The entire Mara family is proud to commemorate the 100th season of New York Giants football.” “My father, grandfather, and uncle come to mind as we consider this historic season—they have devoted their entire lives to the Giants and the NFL. Without their leadership and vision, we would not be who we are today. The Tisch family’s partnership with us in 1991 strengthened our business even further. As we look to the future of Giants football, the families Mara and Tisch are thrilled to honor our franchise’s heritage together.
According to fellow co-owner Steve Tisch, “My father used to take me to games at Yankee Stadium in the early 1960s, and that’s when I saw the Giants play in person.” “It was a wonderfully magical ritual, going to Giants games.” My lifelong passion of the Giants was sparked by that. In 1991, my father’s wish came true when he was accepted as an equal partner of the Giants. Our family is excited for many more years of success with the Giants and has enjoyed being associated with them.
Eli Manning, Harry Carson, Tiki Barber, Bill Parcells, and Tom Coughlin are among the others scheduled to attend.
“We have been preparing for the 100th season for almost two years, and we can’t wait to celebrate this achievement with our partners, fans, and alumni. The players, moments, and championship teams that have shaped the first 100 seasons of Giants football will be the subject of reflection this season. All season long, we’ll celebrate with special activations, events, and highlighted content, according to Giants Senior Vice President of Marketing & Brand Strategy Nilay Shah.
The franchise will unveil their list of the 100 greatest Giants players ever in July, which was determined by fan contributions, media members, and NFL historians. Bob Papa will break down each player’s contribution in a ten-part podcast series.
Additional events to commemorate season No. 100 will include memorabilia, a recently published book called New York Football Giants: The People, The Moments, The Traditions, a documentary about the late owner Wellington Mara on NFL Network called The Duke, and more.
