DONE DEAL;’ Kansas City Chiefs Get Defensive Boost in Potential $85 Million deal as Superstar player Agrees to Join……
Even after winning the Super Bowl for the second year in a row, the Kansas City Chiefs have an uphill road to win it for the third time next season. This is only feasible if the front staff strengthens the defense by signing Devin White to a projected $85 million contract in free agency.
The previous season began with the Chiefs as defending champions. By the completion of the regular season, Kansas City led the AFC West division with an 11-6 record.
By then, the Patrick Mahomes-led club had defeated multiple teams on its road to the Super Bowl. These teams are the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, and San Francisco 49ers.
Although the Chiefs had a second-place defense last season, there’s no guarantee they’ll play as well this year. To ensure the defensive lineup performs effectively, the front staff should explore adding Devin White.

Although White’s past season was plagued by a foot injury and a dismal performance, there is still potential for Kansas City to capitalize. Kristopher Knox went into much detail in his Bleacher Report story.
“However, the Bucs, who promoted K.J. Britt to the starting lineup late in the season, may be ready to move on. Moving from Tampa to Kansas City, as offensive tackle Donovan Smith did last season, may be very appealing for White.
It’s always wonderful to join a true title contender, and White would be a good fit for Steve Spagnuolo’s aggressive defense. With Willie Gay and Drue Tranquil set to hit free agency, the Chiefs could need some aid at the second level,” Knox wrote.
A change of environment could benefit White’s career, especially if he gets to play for the defending champion. With the opportunity to practice alongside Mahomes and company, White may be able to break out of his current slump.
It remains to be seen where White will go in the next days. In any event, the Buccaneers linebacker’s fit with the Chiefs is ideal.
